Happy New Year! This was a winter break of firsts for us - for one, it was 80 degrees almost every day - but, in addition to that, one of us (finally!) secured a job in FL, we spent Christmas/Hanukkah alone, and spent New Year's Day on the beach with family. Needless to say, the past few weeks have felt like a complete whirlwind. At first we were skeptical about spending the holidays alone, but now that it's come and gone, it's hard to imagine doing it any other way! Although it was just the two of us, we kind of went all out and tried to check all of the items off of our holiday bucket lists. For one of us, that included a Christmas Eve Cookie Making and Cocktail Tasting party (we had friends over for this), paired with a viewing of the Nutcracker: The Motion Picture (FAVORITE version) and A Charlie Brown Christmas. For the other, that included an uber-traditional Christmas Day ham dinner. Below are the recipes we used to cook on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve. All are highly recommended :) Here's to a delicious 2017! XO

Christmas Eve:

*DISCLAIMER - our thought was to take a shot of Irish Cream out of the home-made cookie bowl, but when we poured the liquid in, the cookie soaked it all up - hence, why you see the cookie in a cup :)

Christmas Day:

*Plus sides of asparagus wrapped in prosciutto, yams, and salt potatoes.

New Year's Eve:

Appetizer: Gluten-free crackers with a dollop of mascarpone and caviar + champagne (NYE tradition)!

Main: Cioppino (UNBELIEVABLE - add whatever variation of seafood you prefer - we may have gone overboard and put all of the shellfish that exists in FL in there).

Dessert: Sherbet Punch
