Sip and See (My Body) Party

I can't believe it's been six months since we've posted! This past Summer was jam-packed with hardly a second to breathe, let alone cook! Since the last post, Tom graduated first in his class from grad school and received his second promotion since starting his job a little over a year ago (sorry, proud #wifemom). I've found myself deeply affected by the variety of issues currently plaguing our country, including the plethora of natural disasters that occurred this Summer, and have been spending most of my time volunteering with the Red Cross, ACLU, and the Junior League of Fort Lauderdale. I've also joined a local theater company as a board member in the hopes of spearheading a new program focused on featuring young playwrights. Stay tuned! But, posting photos of our food just didn't feel appropriate or comfortable, whether that's the right feeling to have or not. Finding the balance seems to be a continual battle.

Additionally, since mid-September, we have tried to maintain a diet that's completely Whole30. Full disclosure, this has been torture, but will make you feel amazing. After completing the first month, we decided to throw a party featuring all of the junk food we'd been missing and named it our Sip and See (My Body) party. Embarrassing, yes. Delicious, MORE YES. We're back to eating "clean," but man, these recipes make you want to abandon all of your goals. Happy Fall!
